| Lunar Event - 12.1.2008 On December 1st, 2008 a spectacular lunar event occurred when the Moon, Venus & Jupiter appeared very close together. The moon is the brightest, closest, and smallest of the three and is 252,000 miles away. Venus, the second brightest, closest, and smallest, is 94 million miles away. And big Jupiter is 540 million miles away. |

| K104.7 K-Fest 2008 Concert Stand-By - 6.1.2008 On June 1, 2008 local radio station K-104 held its annual "K-Fest" at Dutchess Stadium. Firefighters from Chelsea assisted Beacon Volunteer Ambulance with the event. With the field temperature in the 90's EMT's treated 65 people out of about the 8,000 who attended. To help people cool off, firefighters wet people down during the show. |
