| Gas Main Rupture in Chelsea Ridge - 3.23.2008 Sunday March 23, 2008 (Easter Sunday) firefighters from Chelsea and Castle Point along with Town of Wappinger EMS and State Police responded to a car into a gas main and building in front of 3 Pembroke Circle in the Town of Wappinger. Firefighters found the minivan only struck the gas main which was actively leaking but not the building. Firefighters stretched hose lines in case a fire erupted. Central Hudson had the gas shut off in about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported. |

| Partial Building Collapse on River Round North- 3.22.2007 On March 22, 2007, Chelsea responded to a roof collapse at the Chelsea Forest Products Lumber Yard on River Road North. Firefighters found the roof had collapsed on an attached section of building that is used as storage and equipment repair. The roof gave way overnight due to age and snow load. No injuries were reported. The Castle Point FD and a Town of Wappinger's ambulance assisted on the scene. |
